So central - right in the heart of the Latin Qtr - just turn left and left out of the hotel and you are in the mnidst of real Paris - turn right and you at the foot of St. Germain with Notre Dame over the river - fantastic - we will use this place again for sure.

Our accommodation was very recently renovated & well decorated; spacious, clean and excellent value for money. I was a little surprised to find no bed in the room and discovered that the sofa was in fact a sofa/bed. However it turned out to be fine as we had more room with it as a sofa and it was quite easy for 2 people to convert it into a large and very comfortable bed. The bedding was on the bed so no making and unmaking required. (If you wished you could leave it as a bed to save the conversion each night and still have adequate room.) With 2 arm chairs, desk, sound system, flat screen TV etc, the room had everything we needed and more! The small kitchenette very well equipped. Bathroom facilities were also excellent. One other important thing - free coffee is available in the foyer from a good espresso machine and a good CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is available just off the foyer for 9 euros per person. We did not see this mentioned anywhere on the website, nor were we told this, even when we asked about breakfast, when we booked or when we checked in. It would have been handy to know, as we arrived late and had an early appointment the next morning. The reception staff were very helpful with maps, directions and tips.

Check out the little streets in behind Quai des Grands Augustins & Quai Saint Michel on the left bank, around Place St Michel. On summer nights these are crowded with much to see, eat and do. There is also lots of action on the footbridge across to Notre Dame. The other footbridge Passerelle de Solferino, a metal-y footbridge from the Quai des Tuilleries to the left bank near Muse D'Orsay, is a great place to take a rug, a bottle of wine and some cheese and join the locals in the early evening who sit and watch the world go by for hours. You must see the Seine at night - a great, inexpensive way is a 1hour cruise past all the main tourist attractions and under the beautifully lit bridges. Take the stairs down from the centre of the Pont Neuf to the Pont Neuf Wharf. The last boat leaves at 10.30pm in summer - the best time in summer to see the lights of Paris for only 11 euros. The other fun place is the beautiful St Louis Island tucked in behind Notre Dame- worth a visit.

Lovely establishment in one of the nicest areas of Paris. Opposite Pont Neuf and facing the river. Surrounded by lots of restaurants, shops and galleries but "nicer" (ie less in-your-face)than the neighbouring Latin Quater. Metro and buses are handy too. Short walk to Musee de Orsay.
Recently renovated and rooms/facilities are of a really high standard. If you can stretch the budget the one bedroom suites are huge by Paris standards.
Rue de Buci is handy with supermarket and food shops.

La Main a la Pate nearby in Rue Dauphine is a good reasonably priced Italian with a nice atmosphere and staff.

Great location, RER from Charles de Gaul to St Michel and then a 5 min walk to the hotel. On the Seine and great view of Notre Damme.
Hotel very clean and it was great having a kitchenette (fridge, dishwasher, m-wave) in our room to make drinks etc

The hotel provides mini-apartments with studio like kitchen facilities. While this is not 5-star, the set up is good for families with children, especially for stays over 2-3 days. This hotel is centrally located and provides easy access to St. Germain wealth of restaurents and sights.

Opposite river and 5 minutes from Notre Dame and loads of pubs and restaurants near. Also very handy for transport - 2 minute walk to Metro if that.
